ImageMaven Recommended Photography Training & Resources
Like you, I’m constantly learning about photography and Photoshop. I’m what they call a life-long learner. Just because I’m a photography instructor, doesn’t mean I have all the answers. That would take all the fun out of it, don’t you think?
The following are affiliate links. You don’t have to use them, but I really appreciate it if you do. It doesn’t cost you anything extra to use the affiliate links, and it’s kind of like giving me a tip.
I’m a member of NAPP which is part of Scott Kelby’s teaching empire. Yes, empire! If you sign up for a NAPP membership, use the coupon code FRIEND and you’ll receive a bonus tutorial video: The Best of Photoshop User version 12.
When I’m learning new software, I go to Lynda.com first! There is a huge variety of things that Lynda.com teaches. I’ve taken their courses in: ScreenCasting, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Final Cut Express, Aperture and had fun poking around new titles when they are released. It’s worth getting a yearly membership, or you can just pay by the month. Worth it!
For the past 6 years I’ve been recommending amazon books to my students. I own most of the books in my store here, and I’ve used all the software titles I’m selling. Most of the books are on photography related subjects, but a few business, marketing and design books are in there too. I update the store every semester to keep it full of all the best books in my library. (If you can’t see the books below, try refreshing your browser.)
