I see it every time I have a class of beginners. Awkward hands wrapping clumsy fingers around cameras. Believe it or not, most people don’t really know how to hold their cameras.
You see it a lot on TV too. Actors that don’t know how to hold their prop cameras.
Here is a video tutorial that shows you how to properly hold and handle your compact or dSLR camera. Check it out, let me know what you think in the comments, and please tell your friends.
Keep your left hand under the lens so you won't block your pop up flash.
If you hold your camera properly you'll have less problems with camera shake.

Great stuff! Thanks for telling *and* showing how to hold all different types of cameras. This is really useful!
It’s really hard to write instructions for something like this, and I’m loving working with video as a teaching tool. Thanks for watching and commenting.
